On September 11th 2001 terrorist struck
the two towers of the World Trade Center in New York
destroying an enormous amount of valuable business data and
documents along with the huge amount of lives lost.
Transact operated scanning projects for
our clients in the World Trade Center at the time. Though
all of our staff were able to escape from the buildings
safely, we became one of the few and unlikely success
stories during the buildings collapse.
Due to our efforts in rapid data capture
and storage we had scanned millions of our clients'
essential documents onto dedicated servers which could be
retrieved immediately from other locations once network
systems were up and running again.
